Reviews
Which
book do you like so much that you can't put it down. Why do you like it,
what is it that means you can't stop turning those pages.
Our
website editors will be checking out some of their favourite books and
have written reviews.
This
week Erika in Year 6 has chosen two books to review -
'Dream On' and 'Artemis Fowl'.
Review 1
Title: Artemis
Fowl.
Author: Eion Colfer.
Summary:
Twelve-year-old Artemis Fowl is an excellent criminal mastermind. His
family does not have much money so he decides to ransom a fairy. With
his helpful friends Butler and Juliet he claims $15 million in fairy gold
for his family.
My thoughts: It is an amazing book, much better than Harry Potter in my
point of view. It is very exciting, dangerous and breathtaking. Eion Colfer’s
imagination seemed to have run wild.

Title: Dream
On!
Author: Steve Barlow and Steve Skidmore.
Summary:
It is about a girl called Charlie who is in love with a six former, but
he doesn’t know that. Her two best friends are Amy and Tom. She daydreams
a lot during the story. Her daydreams are about what she wants life to
be like.
My thoughts: I think that it is for a girl aged 10+. I myself think that
it is a good book. It is set out like the play of life with acts and scenes
as the parts and chapters. It is romantic, embarrassing and funny.
