Within our classroom organisation we cater for children of various attainment levels. Children are encourage to proceed at their own rate, being given the opportunity to both extend and consolidate concepts in order to reach their full potential. The school will, after consultation with parents, call upon the services of the peripatetic staff for reading or impaired hearing problems, or in exceptional cases, ask the Educational Psychologist to see a specific child who is having learning or behavioural problems. It may be necessary to make a Statement of the child's special needs, but at all stages parents will be informed and consultated of the processes being undertaken to assist the child. Subsequent regular Review meetings will take place, with parents present, to evaluate progress. The School fully complies with requirements for pupils with S.E.N. The school policy is available from the Office.
